Sunanda has been painting and exhibiting for over two decades. She also holds interactive workshops and demonstrations to explain the technique and key style attributes to children and adults.

Fay Chandler Award, Mayor's Gallery - 2018

The paintings have received widespread attention and acclaim. The Massachusetts Cultural Council awarded her 2010 Artist Finalist Grant. She also received an Honorable Mention by the Fitchburg Art Museum in 2009. She is the recipient of many grants awards and awards from the state, town and Indian community,
